Elder Hall and Elder Bankole worked hard and met their goals for the week. They saw many of their investigators. They are beginning their second and likely final transfer (6 weeks) together. Elder Hall discusses how we can work hard to be able to approach the throne of God with confidence.

Subject: This Mortal Shall Put On Immortality
Hello everyone!
This past week was good. Elder Bankole and I were able to stretch ourselves and hit our goals! We have now been together for one whole transfer and we will be together for another one. Elder Avana in our apartment finished his mission and will be going back to Benin so Elder Harris will be coming to replace him tomorrow. My companion will be the only African in the apartment so I hope he’s comfortable!
This week we were able to see many of our investigators. Many of them have stopped progressing but we are still working with Godwin and Phillip. We also found a few more new investigators in Christiana and Kennedy. Christiana is the wife to one of our members, Brother Lawrence Tetteh. She doesn’t speak English or much Twi either but rather speaks Krobo but she is friendly and has the desire to join her family in the church. Kennedy is a Prisons officer who walked into the chapel on Friday after seeing that the name of our church includes the name of Jesus Christ. He came to church on Sunday and let us teach his family. We are very excited to continue seeing him!
Mosiah 16:7-10
7 And if Christ had not risen from the dead, or have broken the bands of death that the grave should have no victory, and that death should have no sting, there could have been no resurrection.8 But there is a resurrection, therefore the grave hath no victory, and the sting of death is swallowed up in Christ.
9 He is the light and the life of the world; yea, a light that is endless, that can never be darkened; yea, and also a life which is endless, that there can be no more death.
10 Even this mortal shall put on immortality, and this corruption shall put on incorruption, and shall be brought to stand before the bar of God, to be judged of him according to their works whether they be good or whether they be evil—
I know that because of Jesus Christ that we all will be resurrected and live again to be be brought before God to be judged. Knowing this I want to try as hard as possible to be obedient to make sure that I’ll be comfortable when I stand to be judged. I know that as we obey with a willing heart and try our best to become what the Lord would have us to become and even help others do likewise that we will be able to approach the throne of God with confidence.
Hope that you all have a great week!
