Subject: Cry Unto God
Hey everyone!
This past week we did not have that many lessons but we did pick up a few investigators! Winifred is the mother of Paulina who we baptized in November. She is a very friendly older woman. She loves what we teach her, and she remembers it very well. She does not speak Brofo (English) all that well though so we bring along a member to help translate for us which works pretty well!
I know that God is the source of all that is good, he loves us. And we should love Him. I’ve seen the difference in my life and the life of those I love since they’ve been baptized. And I’ve also seen a change since I’ve focused more on him even more these past six months. I know that if anyone simply has the desire and faith to follow God that their lives can be changed and that their hearts will change if they simply let it happen. Everyone is invited to come unto God, for therein lies happiness, joy, peace, even exaltation.
Alma 37:36-37
36 Yea, and cry unto God for all thy support; yea, let all thy doings be unto the Lord, and whithersoever thou goest let it be in the Lord; yea, let all thy thoughts be directed unto the Lord; yea, let the affections of thy heart be placed upon the Lord forever.37 Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for good; yea, when thou liest down at night lie down unto the Lord, that he may watch over you in your sleep; and when thou risest in the morning let thy heart be full of thanks unto God; and if ye do these things, ye shall be lifted up at the last day.
Omni 1:26
26 And now, my beloved brethren, I would that ye should come unto Christ, who is the Holy One of Israel, and partake of his salvation, and the power of his redemption. Yea, come unto him, and offer your whole souls as an offering unto him, and continue in fasting and praying, and endure to the end; and as the Lord liveth ye will be saved.
I hope you all have a great week!
