No Strangers to…the Lord
|
This has been a big week. Elder Rasband of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles was in Accra to see the missionaries and others. Elder Hall went to the dentist. Elder Iyip celebrated his 20th birthday. And Winifred was baptized, and Elder Hall was asked to perform the ordinance!

Subject: No Strangers to…the Lord
Hello Everyone!
This week was pretty interesting but very good! I was in a threesome (Elder Liongitau, Elder Iyip, and myself) for a couple of days because Elder Liongitau went on emergency transfer. It was pretty good but Elder James came in on Sunday so it’s back to normal. On Thursday, my wonderful companion Elder Iyip turned twenty. He is a very good man! I’m afraid we might be separated in a couple of weeks as we have been companions for a while now but we’ll see!
On Saturday was Winifred’s Baptism! it was great, and she even asked me to baptize her! What an honor, baptisms are great!
Yesterday I traveled to Accra, first for the dentist, but more importantly to see Elder Ronald A. Rasband, an Apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ. He truly is a great and wonderfully inspired man of God. One thing he shared is that “I know that the leaders of the church are no strangers to the voice of the Lord.” I know this is true and that one will always be safe in following their council.
Amos 3:7
7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.Alma 26:22
22 Yea, he that repenteth and exerciseth faith, and bringeth forth good works, and prayeth continually without ceasing—unto such it is given to know the mysteries of God; yea, unto such it shall be given to reveal things which never have been revealed; yea, and it shall be given unto such to bring thousands of souls to repentance, even as it has been given unto us to bring these our brethren to repentanceI love you all and hope you have a great week!
