Therefore, Cheer Up Your Hearts

Winifred has set a date for baptism. The sister missionaries had a baptism. Pictures!

The photo above is from Paulina’s baptism back in December. She is Winifred’s daughter.

Subject: Cry Unto God

Hey everyone!

This past week was pretty good, we were blessed to have a good amount of lessons and Deborah and Edward seem to be taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ more seriously. Winifred is still doing fantastic, her testimony is growing very well. She has been a wonderful blessing to Elder Iyip and myself. I know that God is very well pleased with her! Her baptism is still on for the 12th of March. I love baptisms, they’re so exciting. The sister missionaries in our District had a baptism yesterday, it was great but it’s even better when it;s with people that I’ve helped teach myself!

Know This, That Every Soul is Free – A Hymn
1. Know this, that ev’ry soul is free
To choose his life and what he’ll be;
For this eternal truth is giv’n:
That God will force no man to heav’n.
2. He’ll call, persuade, direct aright,
And bless with wisdom, love, and light,
In nameless ways be good and kind,
But never force the human mind.
3. Freedom and reason make us men;
Take these away, what are we then?
Mere animals, and just as well
The beasts may think of heav’n or hell.
4. May we no more our pow’rs abuse,
But ways of truth and goodness choose;
Our God is pleased when we improve
His grace and seek his perfect love.

2 Nephi 10:23-24
23 Therefore, cheer up your hearts, and remember that ye are free to act for yourselves—to choose the way of everlasting death or the way of eternal life.
24 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, reconcile yourselves to the will of God, and not to the will of the devil and the flesh; and remember, after ye are reconciled unto God, that it is only in and through the grace of God that ye are saved.

God loves us, he will give us what we want. He will not make us go to Heaven if we don’t want to go. We should always strive to follow Gods will and keep his commandments. Listen to the voice of the spirit of God and not to the voice of the world, it will be difficult but it is very rewarding to do so.

Hope you all have a great week!
