Three Weeks In

His third week in the field and Elder Hall is getting more and more adjusted to life in west Africa; from the high humidity, to the food that he has never eaten, to washing his clothes by hand in a bucket. These changes are made easier by the work he is doing. The work is transformative, not only for the investigator, but also for the Elder.

Elder Hall’s email:

Hey everyone!

This week was pretty good, a few of our investigators have stopped progressing which is sad. But my companion and I will try extra hard this week to make up for it. I am becoming more accustomed to life here. I can actually eat Fufu now without gagging which is good! I am now better adjusted to the humidity which is a plus. The work is here progressing, and I know I will grow to love every aspect about it more and more, even having to wash my clothes by hand.

Jacob 3:1-2

1 But behold, I, Jacob, would speak unto you that are pure in heart. Look unto God with firmness of mind, and pray unto him with exceeding faith, and he will console you in your afflictions, and he will plead your cause, and send down justice upon those who seek your destruction.

2 O all ye that are pure in heart, lift up your heads and receive the pleasing word of God, and feast upon his love; for ye may, if your minds are firm, forever.
