Two Months In?!

Lighthouse

Elder Hall is so happy in the mission! And he says it is super hard. But when he needs support he turns where he should, Heavenly Father. He feels like time is really flying by and he is determined to make the most of it.

Subject: Two Months In?!

Well that was extremely quick! I’m still in Jamestown for at least another five weeks to finish my training unless there is an emergency transfer. Honestly the mission is the most enjoyable thing I have ever done, it is also the most difficult but I just pray a lot. I am loving it so much! Elder Johnson is now back to the US and now we have Elder Illhary from Ivory Coast in our apartment, he is very nice!
We have three baptisms scheduled for this Saturday the 24th! Augustine, Jocelyn, and Charles are all to be baptized. I am very excited, hopefully all three happen. We have been blessed with some pretty great investigators, I truly have been given more than I deserve. Luke 12:48 “..For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required:”
This past week I went With Elder Ebinum (Tuesday) so show him his new area of Jamestown. And on Friday I went with Elder Beck again in Osu, Osu is very nice as it is where all the foreigner stay so we spoiled ourselves and got smoothies and chicken wraps(worth it)!
On Wednesday I got ABSOLUTELY soaked, it was great! Ghana is sweet, many of the people are very friendly. I am so grateful for this opportunity and hope i can continue to do what God would have me do.
I had a pretty difficult week but it was still great, I was quite upset and so I decided to read the Book of Mormon where I had left off and the very first thing I read was Alma 17:10-12

10 And it came to pass that the Lord did visit them with his Spirit, and said unto them: Be comforted. And they were comforted.

11 And the Lord said unto them also: Go forth among the Lamanites, thy brethren, and establish my word; yet ye shall be patient in long-suffering and afflictions, that ye may show forth good examples unto them in me, and I will make an instrument of thee in my hands unto the salvation of many souls.

12 And it came to pass that the hearts of the sons of Mosiah, and also those who were with them, took courage to go forth unto the Lamanites to declare unto them the word of God.

I am so grateful for this opportunity to help my brothers and sisters in Ghana come unto Jesus Christ and experience the joy that comes from following Him and His Gospel!

Alma 24:14

14 And the great God has had mercy on us, and made these things known unto us that we might not perish; yea, and he has made these things known unto us beforehand, because he loveth our souls as well as he loveth our children; therefore, in his mercy he doth visit us by his angels, that the plan of salvation might be made known unto us as well as unto future generations.

I appreciate you all so much! Really hope you all have a great week!
